<p>Grogingham: Adding new codec</p> <hr /> <div>I am adding a new codec to the iMX53-based Freescale SABRE Tablet. The control interface will be via one of the iMX53 UARTs. I initially just want to register the codec and set it up in Master mode, but I am not yet concerned about any control info. What are the steps required to register the new codec? Do I need to be able to communicate with the codec to be able to register it?</div>
