Could use quick hack for real-time and then process things better
(resampling with antialias and all that stuff) later.

One should compute CPU load and S/N ratio for such a 'quick hack' (which
is still to be defined... skipping samples only ?)

Well... The point for me is, of course, money... But, above all, Linux
compatibility...

Is there ONE good multitrack card supported by ALSA (and even Linux) ? I
read (with a biiig smile) that Chris David was making a driver for
emagic Audiowerk8... Could be my next buy (if not too dear, I don't know
prices still... opening www.emagic.de... oooh took 15 minutes... it is
priced at 499... but I'd rather go for a 8in/2out card than
2in/8out...)

Benjamin.
