Hello,

When using alsa, I have a lot of noise that comes from the display. Moving the
mouse or a window, or a program displaying rapidly changing information (like
timidity's time bar), causes this noise or interference.

The sound card is an on-board CS4236B, video is mach64. Under OSS there were
some configurations (the card can emulate SBPro and WSS) in which this was
greatly reduced - even gone.

I once read it was caused by faulty programming in the video drivers.

Any hints?

Kind regards,

Gerard
