HEH! I know this now. but it took me about 5 hours to figure that out.
And really, I cheated, i downloaded and began the install of the OSS
drivers, when i had decided to check out their settings... sure enough
the base io for the soundcard was 370. Then I exitted the install, and
reran alsaconf with those settings and everything was just peachy! ;-)
