I'm having the same problem as Brad (Go Pack!) - and my problems persist
even with the alsa-utils currently in CVS as of Dec 12. I dug out
DDD and did
a little snooping, and it appears to be a parsing error. By the time it
gets to get_switch_integer(), it already has a bogus value and a range
of 0-0.

I've no experience with yacc whatsoever, so I couldn't tell what was
going on before that.
