Hi,

I have a Fujitsu laptop that reports an ES1688. The card will
run Full duplex in Windows, but under OSS, it is only half-duplex.

I looked into the ALSA driver because I thought that I might have
a better chance at full-duplex with this card, but it doesn't seem
to be supported. When I try to record and play at the same time,
I get an error like, "device busy".

Is there any chance that the ES1688 might be supported as a full-
duplex card under ALSA in the future? Or, perhaps I bought exactly
the *wrong* laptop? I was hoping to have a portable multitrack
studio. :)

Thanks for the nice alternative to OSS.

Toby
