Hi !!
I installed alsa on two machines with RH5.1 that have an Ensoniq audio
pci card. I used the insert utility .
And the sound card works fine.
But when i rebooted the systems.. i lost my net access. (I have a direct
connection to the net).
Any attempt to telnet says
hostname lookup failure.
It happened the same way on both these machines on which i used alsa.
Can someone tell me why this happens and the solution.
In the event of no solution being available.. can you tell me how to reach
the pre-ALSA stage removing all its effects. Because I can use the machine
without sound.. but not without net access.

Thanx
Ramanan. S
