Hello,

thanks for your help. I always changed the power bars with xamixer. But
now I have sound, but unfortunately I only can play cds.
When I start x11amp and try to play an mp3 song I get the following error
message: "Unable to open the audio device. Unable to reset audio device."
I also cannot play *.wav and *.midi files. The error messages for:

xwave:

Couln't access audio drive. No Play and Record

playmidi:

open /dev/sequencer: Operation not supported by device !

It looks that the programms are using the wrong devices. Shall I delete
and link them to the right devices! But what are the right devices? Is
there a better solution?

Bye,
  Herbert
