Hi!

Sometimes I'm recording only noise on my SB PCI64.

The setup I use is:
	alsa-driver-0.2.0-pre10p1
	alsa-lib-0.1.3
	alsa-utils-0.0.8
on a linux-2.1.128.

If I issue the comand
	arecord -m | aplay
I sometimes here loud, pulsating noise instead of an echo of the
signal on my external line in jack.

But I can correct the situation by entering some of the following
commands in a random order several times:
	arecord -m | aplay -d 1
	arecord -m | aplay

If it works, it works fine at least as long arecord is running.

The occurence of this problem seems unpredictable to me.

I'd be very happy about any suggestions.

Thanks, Martin
