I have a machine with a SoundBlaster 128, and first I wanted to report
that the 1370 driver appears to work so far.

However, my current problem is that if I open up a normal mixer
program like tkmixer or gmix, the CD player suddenly cuts off, and
won't come back. I found out about alasamixer and figured I was
probably supposed to use that, but when I tried to run it, it looks
for /dev/snd/control0, which I don't have.

I'm presuming I need to create that device file, but I couldn't find
anything indicating what it's major and minor numbers should be. Is
there documentation for this somewhere?

Sorry if this is a FAQ. Just point me at the M if it is.

Thanks
