  I'm using the same type of card here, and failed to get it working usefully.
However, I notice your options line for snd-sb16 isn't kosher: the last entry
should be snd_dma16=(5 or 7, whatever it is).  Also, make sure that's actually
the real DMA IRQ!  On my card, the default 16 bit DMA is at 5, not 7; you can
set it to 7 if you want, though.

  Yeah, I think it's that last line: check your 16 bit IRQ--I'll bet you the
card's set at 5, not 7.
  In any case, however, I gave up on it after a week or two of fighting with
it: the audio from the microphone was weak and noisy, even with the mixer
cranked to 100; and no version of Speak Freely (which is why I got it in the
first place) will work with it.  I guess I'll just have to get OSS/Linux if
I want full-duplex, at least for now...
