Yes, I have one of this soundcard now. Ultra driver should have same
trouble with it as OS/2 driver have. STB/Compaq card have chip TEA6330T
which is connected after output from InterWave soundcard. This chip
controlled over i2c bus must be initialized, too. It offers next master
volume control and bass & treble control. Without initializing this chip
no sound comes out, but driver looks as working.

Ultra driver willn't support this soundcard (work is discontinued), but
you can check ALSA driver http://alsa.jcu.cz. Latest pre-releases contains
full support for Compaq/STB soundcard.
