Hello,

I've just installed Debian 2.0 (beta) (lib6) and wanted to install the
alsa driver as well, but ./configure return the following:

========================

[root@anrltd alsadriver]# ./configure
loading cache ./config.cache
checking for gcc... gcc
checking whether the C compiler (gcc ) works... no
configure: error: installation or configuration problem: C compiler cannot
create executables.

============================

Clearly, there is an incompatabilty problem with the new GCC and alsa, but
not being technically minded I don't know how to solve the problem. Can
anybody help?

Thanks,

Rob
