Not sure what you mean by dsp. If you mean effects, then I don't think that the
64 or 128 (I could be wrong) have got dsp hardware. The 64 is the same as the
AudioPCI, and the AudioPCI doesn't even have an onboard synth. However, a
software implementation would not be too hard, if it were only effects you were
after, and you might be able to do it with a pipe and sox or something similar.
However, I'm pretty sure that would be limited to two channels, someone will
need to write a player which can do quadriphonics, and probably (although not
necessarily I suppose) a format too. Anyway, if anyone finds or writes a player
for 4 speaker sound or makes any further progress on it, I'd like to know also.
Who knows, I might even write one now that I've started a computer science
degree, though probably next year when we learn useful languages like C++ ; )
