Hello,

I compiled alsa using --with-isapnp=yes switch. I think i made some mistakes configuring it and I have a few questions about the INSTALL procedure:

1) I added the following lines to my /etc/conf.modules, are they correct?

# ALSA portion
alias char-major-116 snd
alias snd-card-0 snd-opti9xx
# OSS/Lite portion
alias char-major-14 soundcore
alias sound-slot-0 snd-card-0
alias sound-service-0-3 snd-pcm1-oss
alias sound-service-0-12 snd-pcm1-oss

2) when I run modprobe snd-opti9xx, I get this:
/lib/modules/2.2.1/misc/snd-opti9xx.o: init_module: Device or resource busy
snd: Device or resource busy

3) my /proc/isapnp.conf is empty.. should I edit it, and, if so, how?

Any feedback is appreciated!

Andrei
