I'm testing and running ALSA SB16 code (SB AWE 64) on computer with 2.0.34
kernel on dual Pentium Pro motherboard (from Asus), too. I don't have any
trouble with system locking, so code should be SMP safe and probed. Maybe
you have some trouble in hardware if problem is occured with both OSS/Lite
and ALSA driver.
