snd-pcm1-oss.o is loaded by the lines placed in conf.modules by alsaconf. It
doesn't appear to load by default however.
Does it need snd-pcm.o and snd-pcm1.o to be loaded as well, If I insmod
those it shows as loaded in lsmod but nothing still works.
if I need to load those two modules I don't suppose you know what their
default aliases are so that I can add them to my conf.modules.
In a similar vein xcdplay works and aplay works, but x11amp doesn't. I
loaded krecord and it says action not supported by sound device.
And I thought Windows was dodgy with sound.
