With the es1869 driver, the two PCM devices are swapped for
playback.  So playback with the second PCM device uses the
same hardware as recording with the first PCM device.

I think it is implemented as such to enable full-duplex
recording/playback in a single device, but the behavior
seems quite odd to me.
