This isn't directly alsa related - the alsa-users list just happens to
be a likely place I know of to get an answer.

I'm looking for a sound editing tool particularly to aid in selecting
loop points.
Does anyone have a suggestion for something than runs on Linux or Irix.
The goal is the end result rather than the process in this particular
case, and
time is of the essence.

Also, while I have your ears, I'd like to ask if anyone has suggestions
for sound effect sources with non-doppler shifted aviation sounds. I've
had mixed luck at best so far with a BBC set we got from the geffen web
site, but it's kind of hit and miss. (Like I really wanted an entire CD
of babies crying just to get a PT6 turbine sound.)

Apologies for the off topic request.
Nathan
