Hi,
I was wondering if it would be possible to use my OPTi 82c925 sound card
with ALSA. It works just fine with OSS/Lite in the 2.2-pre5 kernel (and
the 2.0.36 kernel). There I only have to select Microsoft Sound System
as a module and configure the card with isapnp. Then I initialize the
card upon booting with '/sbin/modprobe ad1848 io=0x530 irq=10 dma=1
dma2=0' (after running isapnp), and everything (except the FM
synth/MIDI) works just fine. I see there is support for the ad1848 codec
in ALSA, but it didn't work with any of the drivers (I always get some
resource error).

Svein F.
