Hello,

I'm new, too.
I'm also have Mother Board with SoundPro HT1869+,
 now studying ALSA and CMI8330 chip and PnP to enable
3D and Loudness feature. (planed to write driver)
OSS supports this chip but not support 3D and loudness.
Because I'm not familier to ALSA and device drivers,
my status is reading source codes of ALSA driver. :(

Hmmm, I spent already one or two months ..... 
I have many project in work and on Linux.  :-(
