Hi friends,

I have a SB Live! lieing around. As it is not very useful for me (I don't
use Windows if I can avoid it, and I can actually pretty well), I wonder how
hard it would be to add support for it to the Alsa driver. This would
enable me to test two card installations as well (SB 32 and SB Live!).

It is a PCI card, so I expect some incompatibilities with the AWE cards. If
I can tell you something, I am glad to provide you with information. If I
should try some things, let me know. If someone guides me, I can actually
try some experimental coding as well (so we find out how the card is used).
(I don't know much about PC hardware, but I'm willing to learn, and my mind
grasps fast most of the time).

Cheers,
Marcus
