Precedence: list

When using the cs4232-driver, I get some unwanted loud clicks opening
and closing wave-channels. These clicks are present in all playing
programs (including aplay) and when using /dev/audio I get even louder
clicks. These clicks are not present in the OSS/Free cs4232-driver, so I
figure this has indeed some relevance to this list.
I tried to locate the wave-playing function in
alsa-driver/lowlevel/isa/cs4231.c but I found nothing that I understood,
let alone could fix. Sorry. I'll just whine to this list
  I'm using a TerraTec EWS64 (with it's onboard "game-cheapo" CS4232) if
that's got something to do with it.

Except from the clicks everything works swell.
