I am only a casual lurker of this list because
I am hoping that ALSA will cure some of the problems that I have
experienced
with OSS. But if I could see how to do it and found some time I would
like to see what is involved in getting my AWE32 working under ALSA.
Since the main work has already been done for OSS it should not be too
difficult ?

The last time I download the ALSA stuff I could work out where I would
start to implement a driver for my AWE32.

Is there a template driver that can be used as a starting point for
writting a new driver ?

  cheers Paul.
