Is there an alpha version on the net ? Or a description of what it
will provide ?

I guess it could be possible to code simple C++ wrappers, and some more
"hi level" classes ( PCM filters, sound file readers/writers... ) so
that
it's possible to just "plug" them to each other to create a nice sound
application.

The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will
insist
on coming along and trying to put things in it.
