Hi Jaroslav,

sorry for taking so long to reply to your mail but at this time I'm 200%
busy with my "new house" project, and hardly touching my computer. Estimate
is that this situation will remain for a few weeks.

To answer your questions:

1) No, I'm not subscribed to the linux-audio-dev mailng list (never heard
off). Please give me the address if this is usefull stuff.

2) Current version of the sequencer is a "working" implementation of the
concept I described in my "Sequencer draft document". The most basic
features of the sequencer architecture (ie. event routing and scheduling)
are present. Before we can stabilise the API (or part of it) we need to be
certain that this API is good enough for real applications. For testing I
provided a few small demo programs and a MIDI synth driver that allows me
(in my configuration) to play MIDI files to my external MIDI synth.

Input is needed/wanted from developers who are dealing with sequencer or
MIDI oriented applications (could also be MOD players): What is needed
in the ALSA Sequencer API to let your application work with the new
sequencer architecture? If possible try to add support for the ALSA API.
This way we can make sure that the API will not only work 'on paper' or as
a vapor API but works with real applications.

   Any volunteers?

Note: the info on my web page is a bit outdated, please look at the latest
ALSA-driver release or CVS tree for the latest sequencer info (see seq.h and
some test programs in the test/seq directory.
