Here's what I need to do:

Configure ALSA so that quake2 and another audio stream can be mixed together
(so that quake2 would open one device, my application another or however it
should work).

And then I need to be able to record audio at the same time.

Is that possible?  I assume yes, as ALSA looks pretty rocking right now.

Also, being new to Linux and *really* new to ALSA, I need just a few small
nudges in the proper direction, perhaps current applications (with source)
to look at.
