Anyone have one ? (Terratec EWS64, Guillemot [HS64|Maxisound], Hoontech
ST128) ?
Want to help me hack up a driver ? Documentation's quite frail, but I
think it'd be
possible to make something out. There's a OSS/Free project out there,
but progress is
inadequate.
I myself is a HW-coding newbie, but would really like to learn to
write something that at least
makes some noise out of the card. I'd made some attempts, but alas, in
vain.

FYI: The SAM9407 can mix up to 32 PCM streams (limited to approx. 12 on
ISA-cards)
has a 64 voice polyphony wave-tablesynth and a separate MOD-interface
(In wintendo words:
"Direct Static Buffer"). It was developed by DREAM in France.
The driver _could_ be quite extensive, but the basic features should
IMO be easy to implement
(for someone who had written atleast _something_ soundcard-driver
oriented).

btw. This is the correct list to ask this, right ?
