Hi,

one night last weekend I hadn't anything better to do than play around with
ALSA (not that it is that bad alternative :) and as another of the developers
of MIDAS Sound System I made a quick hack of ALSA Sound Device for it. It was
surprisingly easy, thanks to the easy and intuitive API.

So if you want to check it out, the MIDAS version is not yet released, but
I made a version of MIDAS Module Player with it, which is available at
http://www.s2.org/~jpaana/midp-linux-ELF.gz

It's statically linked to allow also people without ALSA-libs to use it.

Other information about MIDAS can be found from http://www.s2.org/midas/
