RN) Is some support for the Turtle Beach Maui planned, or is it
RN) fundamentely different from the other cards mentioned [e.g. does
RN) not have the WaveFront chip]?

RN) Then again, I'm probably the only Linux user with an Turtle
RN) Beach Maui, so I won't except it in the near and far future...

I'm not entirely sure what the Maui is. If it is not a MultiSound
card, then you cannot use my drivers with it. If the audio section is
a MultiSound (has a Motorola 56k DSP), then you might be able to use
the msnd_classic.

I know Paul Barton-Davis is working on drivers for the WaveFront
stuff, and they are in the development kernel seriers (see
Documentation/sound/Wavefront).
