Hi,

Thank your guys very much for providing such great sound driver for linux
community!

I've run into a lockup problem with alsadriver-0.1.4 and above. The
problem is that whenever I run rvplayer5.0, the computer freezes
completely (both keyboard and mouse don't work anymore, the computer even
doesn't response "ping" from another computer). It seems that the lockup
problem doesn't exist in alsadriver-0.1.3 and eariler verisions.

Here is some info about the computer( I knew some info isn't necessary,
but just in case...):
SoundBlaster AWE64 value
RH5.0, kenerl 2.0.35, glibc-2.0.7, XFree86-3.3.2 ( all compiled with
pgcc-1.0.3a)
K6-233, Motherboard FIC PA-2012,
ATI Xpert@work PCI
Adaptech 2940UW

The lockup problem occured when I used oss driver, and it is one of
reasons that I stay away from oss driver. Now, it occurs in alsa too :-(
Hope it can be fixed soon.

Thanks in advance!

Heling
