It's true. I don't have much time to serious updates of ALSA Web,
write E-mails to hardware vendors etc...

OK. ALSA have only few developers at this time. I'm working on driver
design and on basic library sound API and utilities. Frank van de Pol is
working on sequencer prototype. Other people sends me only little patches
which contains mostly bug fixes.

ALSA project needs people for:

  1) Developers (kernel code, library code, utilities, installation program)
  2) Publishers (Web & documentation) and people which can answer to
     simple questions of new users.
  3) People which should get documentation and support from hardware
vendors (for example ESS Technology etc..).
  4) CVS operator (I didn't work with CVS before)
  5) People/Vendors which can donate kernel code developers with hardware.

At this time is big problem for me complete documentation for kernel-side
driver interfaces to allow other driver developers add support for
soundcards. I'm working on new code rather in my free time and English
isn't my native language.

Driver is going to be complete now. The last thing which isn't very done
is sequencer, but first prototypes looks very promissing. Driver have
modular design and if you have very specific hardware you can bypass
all middle level codes and register own routines to sound kernel (like
OSS/Lite driver in last 2.1.X kernels).
