Morning everyone,

I am currently working on an application that requires midi support (both
in and out), and since I absolutely hate OSS I thought I would give ALSA a
try.

However, reading the sources of ALSA (downloaded a few days ago) makes me
very uncertain about how far it has come in development in the midi-field.
For example the alsa-lib seems to completely lack the midi part.

Could someone clarify for me what the current status is? And perhaps I
can do something to help? (though my knowledge of soundcard-driver
programming is lacking (also missing docs on the sb16). However I have
done some other driver programminh before..)

And it seems that I can't spell today, but don't let that stop you from
replying :)

Have a nice day,

Stefan Mars
