First of all let me appologise for using a really crappy mail client but
since I will be out working at a client Im forced to use Exchange. I
have a HP OmniBook 800CT which are equiped with a ESS ES1887 soundchip.
THis chip doesn't seem to be supported by either OSS or ALSA so I
thought that might be a good start. Have any of you any specs on this
chip or indeed any other ESS chip since if I need to by the specs I'd
like to get as much as posible for free.

Otherwise I think porting applications and C++ library might be my cup
of tea when that is ready. Cya all.
