jaroslav, is there any documentation on the new mixer API out there?
alsmixer desperatedly needs an adaption, as the HEAD version of
alsamixer.c after the merge is terribly out of date, and i don't know
about the constrains of the new mixer API.

Abramo Bagnara, maybe you could sheed some light on this?
