Hi Guys,
I wanted to apologize to Kevin. After following this thread
further, it has become apparent to me that my assumptions about who kevin
is were incorrect. I never meant what I wrote to be a flaim, but my
choice of language was based on the assumption that Kevin was familiar
with Linux and the open source movement in general. This is obviously not
the case.
I expected Kevin to know things that I now know he had no real
reason to know, and was annoyed by what I thought was someone advocating
things that he should have known were false. As my assumptions were bad,
my reactions were ungrounded. I am probably saying this in a very
complicated manner, so I'll just say it plainly.
I'm sorry for being a little hot under the collar, and I hope that
I didn't offend anyone, I hope that we're all still on good terms.
Btw, Kevin, if you're interested in learning more about open
source, aside from Eric S. Raymond's papers which are published online
(probably linked to from www.opensource.org, actual URL anyone?), the book
open sources contains a lot of very good information. I highly recommend
it (I also recommend to to anyone in the free software/open source
community, it's a good read).
	-Chris
