Hi all,

I tried to make a proposal of the timer interface. It's a dirty
paper, but I hope useable. I need help mainly with MIDI IN timestamps
(MTC/SMPTE). I'm not sure if this support will go to the timer interface
or only to sequencer as synchronization source.
The goal of this interface is a user/an application ability to
select a timer source for the ALSA sequencer.

P.S. The time is now to discuss things about MTC/SMPTE and the sequencer
synthronization!!!

Can I find somewhere on the inet papers which describe MTC/SMPTE
things?
