I was going to say this too. EMU is MUCH more liberal than Creative. Since
SF2 belongs to them, and they do use it for most of their synths, I think
that might be the area to hit. 

Also, you may want to hit them up for the specs of the soundcard, which is
IDENTICAL to the SB Live, except better for musicians. They may be willing
to help. I forget the name of it..but check out www.emu.com. Its there.
