Hi,

I made the latest version of ALSA, which is the first that I could BTW,
on RedHat 5.2 with linus kernel 2.2.0ac2. I followed all of the
instructions and the method in the HOWTO (Alsa-sound-mini-HOWTO) very
carefully and have gone through all of your docs. I have done it all
three times now, reconfig, remake, various conf.modules, etc., and I
can't get sound to be recognized. My sound card does work and I have
timidity going, CDROM, etc., but not with ALSA. Hoping that you can help
me.

I have a Creative labs sound blaster PnP 16. I have confirmed that all
of my card settings agree across the board. I have a modular kernel.
Please see all of my attachments for the gory details, especially
"various_probs" to see that the card is not being recognized along with
misc details.

Hoping that you can help me out.

TIA,
Glenn
