Precedence: list

Hi, I recently added onto the list. In particular, I was interested in
getting my Aureal Vortex PCI to work under Linux, as it is currently
unsupported by OSS, and I didn't want to wait for them, plus ALSA seems
cooler.

My question then, is how should I go about asking a vendor to release the
necessary info for writing a driver? Any recommendations would be
appreciated.

Thanks,
Matthew
