Hello, your patch did come through okay and I've been using it for a
few days now, and it seems to work quite well .. was meaning to drop
you a line and tell you as much, but I got rather caught up in
battling the midi side of things with alsa..  anyway, the patch works
nicely, applied cleanly, and hasn't caused me any grief since I
started using it .. I've also been considering making a proposal to
the debian package maintainer of mpg123 that there be a seperate
version created for the alsa output ..  thanks for your time.
