Hi,

I have put together a synth driver for the AWE64 (EMU8000). It uses the
great alsa sequencer core to relay events from a connected midi keyboard
to the wave synthesizer.

It just integrates in a temporary way with ALSA as I don't know Jaroslav's
plans for ALSA in this area. But it only took a few hours to hook it up
to the rest of the code, including time spent working out how everything
worked, so that demonstrates just how really good and easy to use the
sequencer core is.

See http://ds.dial.pipex.com/sterat/alsa/ for download and details.

..Steve
