HOW ABOUT RTLINUX ? You mention it... Could it be tied with ALSA to have
real-time capabilities serious ?

I 've heard of KURT which was meant for the same thing but, as ,they
say, can handle regular system services (unlike RTLinux)... Does it mean
drivers ? I don't know... Maybe we should investigate further.
