Agreed.  But it at least has the right goal of using more of the sound
hardware than just the codec.  We can't support all features of all sound
cards, but if we can provide support for a interwave style patches (ie,
hardware playback where avalible), then at least the expensive GF1s, GFA1s,
and DREAMs that we have bought will be put to some use.
